Van Dexter Design Staff

Debbie Van Dexter
Debbie Van Dexter
Debbie has been a behind the scenes cornerstone of Van Dexter Design since the very start. In March, 2008 Debbie took a more active role as their showroom office manager. Her marketing skills keep the Van Dexter Design name in the forefront through her unique ad designs and marketing creativity. Debbie is also considered the calming force at Van Dexter Design. Debbie’s known for the little touches like keeping the candy dish filled for the occasional sweet tooth craving, as if that isn’t enough, Debbie never misses a staff birthday or special occasion by baking a delicious cake or treat for the staff coffee break. Along with Van Dexter Design, Debbie also owns her own graphic design business offering her creative design services for non-profit organizations, schools and small businesses. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys walking on the beach with Erik, snuggling up with a good book, gardening in the yard, leisure shopping, and sailing in the Chesapeake.
Kristen Nage
Kristen Nage
Generally a customers first point of contact, whether its on our web site, by phone or in person, Kristen will serve each client well with a warm greeting and sincere welcome to Van Dexter Design. With a diverse background in related fields, Kristen found solace and opportunity with Van Dexter Design in July 2003. Her daily activities include CAD drawing, client consultations, field survey / discovery, and assisting customers with the vast array of product choices and project details. Kristen has fun every day at Van Dexter Design, but her most memorable event, was the “team building 2008” sailing cruise on the Chesapeake with her co-workers. After hours, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family, her other passion includes creating stained and lead glass windows, skiing, and reading. And we can not forget about Kristen’s culinary passion — the spicier the better!
Nicholas Langi
Nicholas Langi
As many before him, Nick came to Van Dexter Design in January 2006, as a “part time” after school apprentice. He fell in love with the art of woodworking and continues to this day as one of our valued shop staff. Nick’s other dream is to follow in his father’s footsteps in law enforcement and just completed a two year program at Gloucester County College. In August 2009, Nick plans to enter the law enforcement program to complete his training. While at work, Nick wears many hats. He is always eager to jump in wherever he is needed; frankly, there is not much Nick can’t do in the shop. In his spare time, Nick enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, being around his close knit family, the challenge of a quick basketball pick-up game, and going to Wildwood in the summer.
Ralph Miller
Coming Soon
Serving as a high school wood shop teacher for almost thirty years, and senior class advisor for seven, a retirement dream would be to fulfill his life-long passion to work with wood without “academic meetings.” This is why Ralph joined Van Dexter Design in March of 2008, after taking some time to enjoy retirement only to realize that he missed the “wood shop atmosphere.” While you may only find Ralph here about three days a week, his time in the shop is very productive. His responsibilities include working in the shop in any area where his help is needed. His mentoring skills are kept sharp as some of his current co-workers were, previously, students in his woodshop classes. In his spare time, Ralph enjoys large game hunting, spending time with his family, the serenity of his vacation cabin in the north woods of Maine, and volunteering as a firefighter.
Diane Moore
Diane Moore
Diane possesses some unique qualifications as a past “repeat” customer, and her personal business dealings with our company, made her the perfect candidate for a recent position opening in January 2009 for showroom attendant. Having a Van Dexter Design kitchen and master bathroom since 2001, Diane also fits well in the Van Dexter Design organization with her communication abilities, genuine compassion, and organizational skills. Diane works part time, and is always ready to help and guide clients with her helpful low pressure advice. Diane completes her days by spending time with her husband and three grown daughters who keep her on the go doing “mom” things. While they're practically empty nesters, plenty of energy and sense of “giving back” keep Diane and Glenn both very active in their home town.
Melissa Brentari
Melissa Brentari
Melissa recently joined the team at Van Dexter Design as a showroom assistant working part time while attending college to earn a teaching degree. After graduating from Pitman High School in 2003 Melissa’s career path has helped develop her skills in customer service and organizational skills. In her spare time, what little she has, Melissa enjoys family, friends, traveling and the serenity of the beach.
